When me and my boyfriend book our holidays we always follow a few simple rules to make sure we get the most for our money.
1. Always look at a few different places!
We were going to go to Greece this year but found I we went to Spain then we could get far more for our money.
2. Look at staying outside the centre of the resort.
I found a hotel just outside of the centre for £100 cheaper than in the centre and it is only a 3euro taxi ride away and it means it'll be lovely and quiet on a night time!
3. Read reviews on the accommodation!
Make sure people recommend it and its worth the money your spending. However don't over think the reviews I find sometimes people are just being too picky.
4. Compare online prices and travel agents prices.
We went to Goa, India in February and found it much cheaper booking through the travel agents than online.
However this time we've found online cheaper than the travel agents for a week in Spain.
Always compare both options.
5. How much luggage do you need?
When we went to India we went for 2 weeks so needed a suitcase each. For our week in Spain we don't need as much so we've decided to share a case and saved our selves £30!
6. Find out which airports cheapest to fly from?
We live in Yorkshire and flew to India from Gatwick and save our selves £300.
However you do have to consider commuting to the airport as we ending up spend £200 on taxis.
I think that's pretty much it.
Remember the more you save the more you can spend once your out there!
